Golden State's star guard suffered a leg injury late in the Warriors' Game 3 loss in the Finals.

But he finished with just two points and four rebounds on Wednesday. “He told me it wasn’t the same thing.” Golden State trailed by as many as 18 points in the first half, but it was a 12-point Boston lead with about four minutes left when Jayson Tatum missed a jumper from the foul line. “We will know more” Thursday. I just asked, ‘Is that not the same thing?’” Green said. Warriors coach Steve Kerr said he also expects Curry to play as Golden State looks to even up the best-of-seven series, 2-2. Curry finished with a game-high 31 points. Ker said the Warriors will not practice today, and will use today more as a recovery day instead. I’m going to get him off his legs, though.” The Warriors’ last chance at a comeback victory in Game 3 ended with 3 1/2 minutes left on Wednesday night during a scramble that, like the game, went Boston’s way. “Take advantage of these next 48 hours to get ready.” I don’t feel like I’ll miss a game, though,” Curry said.

Warriors star Stephen Curry will play through foot pain in Finals (The Washington Post)

Stephen Curry missed a month with a left foot sprain earlier this season, but the Warriors star insisted that he won't miss time in the NBA Finals.

“It’s the same foot and all that,” Curry said. Boston holds a 2-1 series lead, and Curry’s injury comes at an inopportune time of the series, as there is only one off day in between Game 3 and Game 4. “[Curry] was involved in the pile up,” Kerr said. Curry stayed on the court and appeared to be in some pain, but told reporters during his postgame comments Wednesday that he would be “all right.” He later departed TD Garden with a slight limp. Golden State didn’t go through a typical practice on Thursday, with Kerr noting that his “high-minute” players would solely be undergoing “treatment and recovery.” Boston outrebounded Golden State 47-31 in Game 3, claiming 15 offensive rebounds, and tallied 22 second-chance points.
