Tesla Cybertruck with updated interior and windshield wiper goes ... (Electrek)

A Tesla Cybertruck prototype with an updated windshield wiper and new look inside has made a rare new appearance at an official event.

The Cybertruck was unveiled back in 2019. One of the first things that we noticed is that this prototype is equipped with a much smaller windshield wiper than the previous prototype spotted in the wild. A Tesla Cybertruck prototype with an updated windshield wiper and new look inside has made a rare new appearance at an official event to launch the Tesla Megapack project at Moss Landing, California.

Latest Tesla Cybertruck Prototype Has One Miniscule Windshield ... (Jalopnik)

Comically oversized wipers are out, comically undersized wipers are in.

The Cybertruck aesthetic calls for a lot of glass, and it seems Tesla still hasn’t quite figured out how to clear it. While the Cybertruck prototype’s original wiper stretched nearly to the top of the truck, this new one seems to only reach about halfway up the windshield. Despite its sharp angles, PG&E didn’t use the Cybertruck to cut the opening ribbon.

This is quite different from the original Cybertruck prototype unveiled in 2019, which was running what seemed to be its own custom software. Seats that do not seem to have lumbar support could also be seen in the recently sighted vehicle, though this is something that might be changed as the all-electric pickup truck enters production. The original Cybertruck’s interior was extremely futuristic, from its marble-esque dash to its lack of an instrument cluster.

Tesla Cybertruck's Latest Public Appearance Shows Interior ... (Benzinga)

While competitors get their electric pickups to market, Tesla Inc (NASDAQ: TSLA) is still taking its time to release the Cybertruck.

Exterior shots of the Cybertruck also show at least one change. The pedals can be seen, and they also resemble the style of the Cybertruck, with share edges and a squared off shape. The steering yoke also looks like that of the refresh Model S and X, with the driver display clearly in view. The gauge cluster can be seen on the left. Very interesting small window around the A pillar. IMPORTANT MESSAGE: Benzinga prides itself as a media platform that is "For the People, By the People." We understand the markets are scary right now.

Tesla Cybertruck Prototype Appears At The Elkhorn Battery Launch (InsideEVs)

Tesla has sent one of its Tesla Cybertruck prototypes to the official grand commissioning ceremony of the Elkhorn Battery energy storage system in Moss ...

Well, it's too early to judge the current prototype, as it might be far from the final product. The display reminds us of the Model S/Model X approach, but its external shape has an angular style. The prototype might be kind of a Tesla Model X in the clothes of the Tesla Cybertruck, as the center infotainment display shows Model X. We would not be surprised by the use of the same controllers, and software as the foundation for development.

New Interior Pics Show the Tesla Cybertruck Has a Separate Gauge ... (The Drive)

During the opening ceremony of the Elkhorn Battery, someone snapped some photos of the Tesla Cybertruck's interior.

There are some unique details to this Cybertruck's cabin, though. While there, Jerrett Knapp of KSBW 8 was able to grab some photos of the Cybertruck's interior, which is the first good look around its cabin since the reveal. Aside from a debunked social media stunt, some murky spy photos, and often hyperbolic tweets from Tesla CEO Elon Musk, we don't usually hear about it unless it's another delay.

As of now, Tesla has yet to confirm if the new Cybertruck interior is the final design. The new Cybertruck interior is a significant departure from the design we first saw in the prototype. This explains why Musk has said the Cybertruck will be Tesla’s magnum opus. Musk has also confirmed there will be a new quad motor Cybertruck variant. The second biggest change is, that the Cybertruck now has a screen behind the steering wheel. Elon Musk has also recently revealed the Cybertruck is sold out until 2027.

New Tesla Cybertruck with 'switchblade' windshield wiper revealed (Fox News)

The arm appears to be hinged at the middle like a switchblade knife with two separate wiper blades, but Tesla has not confirmed or publicly demonstrated the operation of the new design.
