Since beating the Blue Jays in a memorable 2015 ALCS and then winning the World Series, the Royals have been, well, not very good. That’s not an ideal scenario for a team using its long man – Stripling – as a starter on Monday and likely for at least several weeks to come with Hyun Jin Ryu on the injured list. The Royals have an AL-worst 5.12 team ERA this season. Veteran outfielder Andrew Benintendi left the game in the ninth inning with a calf injury. Kansas City RHP Brady Singer (2-1, 4.15 ERA) The Blue Jays lost three of four in Kansas City last April before sweeping the Royals in a three-game series in July and August in Toronto’s first games at Rogers Centre since 2019 due to COVID-19. Kansas City RHP Brad Keller (1-6, 4.15 ERA) The Blue Jays conclude their run of four consecutive series against AL Central foes with a three-game weekend set in Detroit against the Tigers after an off day on Thursday. Kansas City LHP Daniel Lynch (2-4, 4:81 ERA) The Blue Jays almost staged an improbable rally in the series finale, closing an 8-3 deficit to 8-6 and then getting two more men on in the bottom of the ninth before the Twins finally ended the last-ditch threat. After winning eight in a row, the Blue Jays (31-22) cooled down over the weekend, dropping two of three against the shorthanded Twins at Rogers Centre. The Toronto Blue Jays begin a 10-game stretch of games against some of the worst teams in the American League when they face the squad at the bottom of the major league standings – the Kansas City Royals – on Monday in Missouri.

Blue Jays vs. Royals predictions: Picks, odds, live stream, TV ... (DraftKings Nation)

We go over how to watch Monday's game between the Toronto Blue Jays and Kansas City Royals and make some picks.

Kansas City (17-35) lost six of their last seven games as they’ve fallen into last place in the MLB. Lynch will make his 10th start of the season and will go in with a 4.81 ERA, coming off a start against the Cleveland Guardians when he gave up 6 runs in 4 innings. Physically present in AZ/CO/CT/IL/IN/IA/LA/MI/NH/NJ/NY/ONT/OR/PA/TN/VA/WV/WY only. The Blue Jays are slightly above average compared to the rest of the league in on-base percentage, and Alejandro Kirk is having a big year at the plate with at least 1 hit in nine of his last 10 games. This will come down to how efficient Lynch is during this start because if he can get close to 6 innings of work, he should surpass the strikeout total. Stripling made 13 appearances and five starts so far in 2022 with a 4.22 ERA as he gets back into the rotation. The Toronto Blue Jays and Kansas City Royals square off on Monday with first pitch set for 8:10 p.m. ET. The game takes place at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri and will be available to watch on ESPN+. Ross Stripling will throw for the Blue Jays, while the Royals will roll with Daniel Lynch.

Blue Jays vs. Royals total, prediction: Expect plenty of runs (New York Post)

The Toronto Blue Jays and Kansas City Royals kick off a three-game series on Monday.

The Blue Jays lost to the Twins on Sunday, but still come in 9-2 over their last 11 games. Over its last 10 games, Toronto is batting .391 and averaging a ridiculous 11 runs per nine innings. When he’s on the mound, you can expect Toronto’s bullpen to play a role in the game.

Witt over 0.5 RBI (+145): Witt won’t wow you with his season-long numbers, but he’s been significantly better lately. Kirk over 0.5 runs (-104): Because of Kirk’s glacial speed we don’t associate him with scoring runs, but he’s been crossing the plate consistently of late. That should create traffic on the bases in front of Guerrero, who’s well-suited to a battle with Lynch in his own right. That gives him a good shot to bring in a run — especially facing a mediocre starter like Ross Stripling. Guerrero will also benefit from a matchup with Royals southpaw Daniel Lynch in this game. The fact he has hit an atypical .217/.356/.370 with runners in scoring position hasn’t helped. For the majority of the season, Guerrero has not been great value on this prop. 2021 Run Value 2022 Run Value Best bet: Guerrero over 0.5 RBI (+115) - Vladimir Guerrero Jr. over 0.5 RBI (+115) - Bobby Witt Jr. over 0.5 RBI (+145)

Lynch has also pitched 5 1-3 innings or less in seven of his nine starts this season. Lynch also doesn’t have a high strikeout rate, punching out 39 batters in 43 innings pitched this season. Well, as noted, things aren’t going well for Lynch at the moment. Our best bet is our favourite pick across all markets. Blue Jays vs. Royals prediction: Picks, odds, live stream, TV channel ... (DraftKings Nation)

We go over how to watch Tuesday's game between the Toronto Blue Jays and Kansas City Royals and make some picks.

He’s 4-10 off Keller in his career with one home run and four runs batted in. Getting Hernández hot has been crucial for the Blue Jays. In his last seven games, Hernández is hitting .393 with one home run and six runs batted in. Their catchers have been hitting great this season as Alejandro Kirk is hitting .306 with five home runs and 16 runs batted in and Danny Jansen is hitting .232 with seven home runs and 13 runs batted in. Perez is hitting .195 with eight home runs and 22 runs batted in. With Manoah on the mound, he should be able to give the Mariners 6-7 solid innings and their lineup should score 4+. I would honestly play the Blue Jays -1.5. He’s hitting .321 with two home runs and 21 runs batted in. Physically present in AZ/CO/CT/IL/IN/IA/LA/MI/NH/NJ/NY/ONT/OR/PA/TN/VA/WV/WY only. On the mound, Alek Manoah has been phenomenal this season as he is 6-1 with a 1.98 ERA on the year. The Toronto Blue Jays and Kansas City Royals square off on Tuesday with first pitch set for 8:10 p.m. EST. The game takes place at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri and will only be available on local TV or through an MLB.tv subscription. Santiago Espinal has been an unexpected star for them this season as well. The Blue Jays are by far the better team in this one. After a sluggish start, the Blue Jays are back to looking like one of the better teams in baseball.
