Longueuil forward Owen Stammer clawed one back at 8:37 to the lead to 9-2, but Fink on the powerplay (14:49) and Brendan Mairs (17:34) added goals to give Brooks the 11-2 advantage. Bandits defenceman Zach Bookman (Merrimack) sniped a shot from the slot at 7:39 to increase the lead to 5-0, followed by an Ethan Lund (Niagara) goal at 10:29 to make it 6-0 after tapping in a loose puck off an Aiden Fink (Wisconsin) drive to the net. Brooks opened the scoring 3:30 into the contest, as Ryan McAllister (Western Michigan) scored on a forehand shot from the left circle to make it 1-0.

Forward Ryan McAllister (Western Michigan) blasted a one-timer from TJ Hughes (Michigan) at 13:10 to make it 3-1 Brooks. McAllister scored again at 17:49 on the powerplay from the left circle to make it 4-1. Just 14 seconds later, forward Devin Phillips (Holy Cross) scored on a breakaway to make it 2-1. Bandits forward Aiden Fink (Wisconsin) got the equalizer at 6:54 of the 3rd period, tapping in a backdoor pass from Nic DeGraves that was initially stopped, but cleaned up to tie the game 1-1.

Pickering then topped Longueuil Collège Français, the Quebec Junior Hockey League champions, 2-1 in overtime on May 24 before being beat 9-1 by the Brooks Bandits in their final round-robin game. Brooks finally slid a puck past Roy 6:54 into the final frame to knot the game at 1-1, and then the Bandits took the lead for good 14 seconds later. Brooks won all six of its games at the tournament while outscoring the opposition 44-10.

Local goalie stellar in Centennial Cup final (BayToday)

Roy was stellar as he made 40 saves in Canada's Junior 'A' championship game which aired nationally Sunday afternoon on TSN.

In six games at the Centennial Cup, Roy sported a .921 save percentage and a 2.69 goals against average in his final half dozen games of his junior hockey career. The Panthers were outshot 44-11 in the final by the Bandits. Estevan, SK - Callander's Zachary Roy was the only reason the Pickering Panthers were in the Centennial Cup final which wrapped up on Sunday.
