Avant de frapper la région le puissant orage a balayé le sud de l'Ontario, tuant au moins deux personnes et privant des dizaines de milliers de foyers d'électricité. Selon Environnement Canada, l’orage s’est produit autour de 16h samedi. «Le service d’autobus R1 circule à la station Blair. L’électricité a repris dans la portion est de la ville donc le service est offert partiellement.» Des témoins ont porté assistance aux deux personnes.
