C’était vraiment quelque chose», a raconté Holden.

For those watching the broadcast, it seemed like Kane respond with something along the lines of "I make more than you," which is factually incorrect (Tkachuk is making $9 million this year to Kane's $1.3 million. As impressive as all three goals were, it was the chirp that could very well become the stuff of Canada legend for years to come. There were 15 total goals, a hat trick, a number of donnybrooks and one Hall-of-Fame chirp from Flames winger Matthew Tkachuk, who also happened to score the hatty.

Senators Should Consider Offer Sheeting Matthew Tkachuk (The Hockey Writers)

The Senators are in need of a top-six forward. What about captain Brady Tkachuck's older brother Matthew? That would spice things up.

Now, the Senators have a good number of them over the next two years, as there’s always the ability to trade up a few spots, but overall they would be drafting lower in the draft than a team on the rise would like. But this is a team that has shown dedication to their core through contracts that most fans didn’t think the team would pay for. The stars need to align to keep the core together and add a piece of this value at the same time. It’s true that the team still needs a top-six forward, but it doesn’t need such an aggressive move. Some of those picks would realistically need to be moved in trade packages to strip the team of their cap hit. But for a team on the rise looking to close the door on the rebuild and open the door for playoffs, an immediate impact, 100-point player is much more attractive than a chance to get a top-two pick. In the case of the elder Tkachuk, the biggest risk comes down to the salary cap. While the idea of a bold first line is a tantalizing one, making this move would come with inherent risks and realistically would stall the building of the roster for the future. If the team were to submit an offer sheet to Tkachuk in the realm of $8-9 million, the Flames will be forced into a bind with their signings. Under this presumptive acceptance of an offer in that dollar range, the Senators would need to offer compensation to the Flames in the form of draft picks. With such a slim chance to get the top two picks, it makes sense to swing for the fences on an offer sheet for Tkachuk. On the power play, you have a single Tkachuk on each unit to play in front of the net constantly given their prowess at winning those critical battles.

Brady Tkachuk Is A Good Brother | Defector (Defector)

Brady, for his part, believes his brother would reciprocate in the reverse situation. “The captain of another NHL team being Matthew Tkachuk’s super fan boy is just so, so weird to me,” one said. (Lip-readers could make out a “No, it’s my favorite hat!”) I’m pretty sure every single time there’s been a shot of the family on TV, lone Tkachuk sister Taryn, who plays field hockey at the University of Virginia, can be seen dancing or singing. In one pregame interview on the Sportsnet broadcast, he threatened(?) to sing “Mr. Brightside” in the stands, “maybe tarps off.” (That’s hockey for shirtless.) To celebrate Calgary’s OT win in Game 7 against Dallas, he hoisted some kid onto his shoulders and walked him up and down the steps of their section. Last night, he had two beers stuffed in his back pockets and another in his hand as he high-fived fans on the way to his seat. Matthew Tkachuk, relatively quiet against Dallas last round, scored his first career playoff hat trick: a deflection on the power play; a breakaway off a failed Edmonton clearing attempt; and an empty-netter that would be the 15th(!) and final goal of the game, a 9-6 Calgary win.

Big Walt Ain't Throwing His Favorite Hat For No Stinkin' Hat Trick ... (Barstool Sports)

As has been the case throughout the entire playoffs so far, the Tkachuks were in the house for game 1 between the Calgary Flames and Edmonton Oilers last ...

Getting rid of your favorite hat would be like getting rid of a part of you. It looks great on you, it feels great on you, it makes you who you are during the stretch of your life that it's #1 in the rotation. You think Big Walt is launching his hat on the ice to celebrate the moment?

As Matthew's biggest supporter, Brady Tkachuk is stealing the show ... (Sportsnet.ca)

Brady Tkachuk treated Flames fans to another night of animated support for his brother Matthew, reminding everyone of the strong Tkachuk family bond.

“Brady is a great person and he is the most giving child. Even if he wasn’t playing great I’d be here to have his back no matter what is happening, because I know that’s what he’d do for me.” He took a short trip to Napa before returning for Game 7 and Wednesday’s Oilers win. He’d give you the shirt off his back and that’s real, not fake. “I definitely didn’t expect all of this going on, but I’m just having a great experience. The most exciting thing is how pumped and much better (Matthew) is getting.” He cares about his siblings. “The kid was sitting in front of us and as everyone was getting nervous for overtime in Game 7 I said to everyone, to make my family laugh, ‘when we score you’re going on my shoulders,” he explained. “It speaks to how close a family we are. It’s been a whirlwind. “We would love to be in a playoff situation, and we will be soon.” I probably shouldn’t.’ But they talked me into it.

Senators' Brady Tkachuk cheering on the Flames and his brother ... (For The Win)

Brady Tkachuk has been the Flames biggest cheerleader in the 2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs, all to support his older brother Matthew.

While the Senators may not be in the playoffs, Brady has taken to cheering on his brother and the Flames with incredible, wholesome passion.

Brady Tkachuk could be our favourite Flames fan right now ... (Curiocity)

We're honestly confused to make this claim ourselves, but Brady Tkachuk could be our favourite Flames fan right now.

Brady, meanwhile, is literally the captain of the Ottawa Senators, and arguably their vision of the future. Is Brady Tkachuk cheering on the Flames from box seats, with other VIP fans? When most of us show team pride in another city, we really only have to worry about upsetting the fans next to us.
