Johnny Gaudreau and Sean Monahan shared an adorable hug after the former put the Calgary Flames through to the second round of the playoffs.

While Monahan remains out for the rest of the Flames’ playoff run, they’ve still got work to do in his absence. “[I] thanked him tonight for being injured so I could wear an ‘A’ for once,” Gaudreau said of Monahan. “He’s such a great teammate and great friend. With Monahan and Tanev both sitting, Gaudreau’s name was called upon to be one of the team’s alternates.
