Once the game hit the 15-minute-mark, T1 were superior in every part of the map and started suffocating their opponents. Their rivals, Saigon Buffalo, despite having some highlights in the early game, didn’t stand a chance against the cohesive teamplay of T1 and their map domination. Coming into this year’s Mid-Season Invitational, T1 were the heavy favorites in the eyes of many experts to take the trophy.

We’re going to smack them.” A miracle run which didn’t just start from MSI 2022 groups, but from their lower bracket playoffs match against Dire Wolves four best-of-fives ago. There’s been a lot of comparisons between the ORDER roster and Pentanet.GG’s run at MSI 2021 that put Oceanic League of Legends on the map. From this game, I just realize that it’s so winnable. Having scrimmed the best players in the world, he felt like playing G2 Esports on stage was no different to just practicing against LCK and LPL stars. “I was no longer being given any chances. He had gone 1-20 on Dire Wolves, and being last place in one of League of Legends’ weakest regions tanked his stocks. If we play a bit more standardly and optimize a few of those things, we’ll take those games.” “Honestly, it was the exact same as the Chiefs best-of-five [in the LCO 2022 Split 1 grand final], I remember. However, a tight game has put the “group of life” on notice. After being written off in their home region by many, the expectations when it came to the global stage were even lower. Oceanic underdogs ORDER had an uphill battle to turn heads in the Western group of life at MSI 2022.
League of Legends: Inven Global spoke with TitaN after the match to discuss his thoughts on the game and his optimism for RED Canids.
We like to scream, we like to have the hype for the game. We are playing so much more as a team right now. Yeah, we are so confident. We are here to play at a professional level. We hype a lot during the game. They want us to have the results, they want us to win. We are a much better team when we do this. So yeah, we have a different mindset, and that's why. We had Gwen, we had Zoe that pushes midlane, so I picked Jhin just for this. We are working so much as a team as well. Because yeah, we had a great game. We are so much more confident right now.

Just as during the 2021 World Championship, players will be able to receive esports capsules merely by watching the international League of Legends competition.
For esports drops, players will usually get capsules that have various icons and emotes inside them. To start earning MSI drops, you'll have to go onto the official lolesports website and log into your Riot account. The 2022 Mid-Season Invitational shouldn't be any different, with Riot preparing some esports capsules for viewers to enjoy.
The 2022 League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational already has its fair share of controversy and player complaints since the event is being played on 35 ...
Whether the short-lived mask mandate was a late ruling by Riot or a misunderstanding, players will not need to wear masks on stage during MSI 2022. Riot potentially enforcing a mask mandate only exacerbated those fears, with Dun and others noting that many players wear glasses and that those players would be placed at a disadvantage if and when masks caused those glasses to fog. With the enforced ping at MSI considerably higher than it usually is in many leagues around the world, there was already worry that conditions at the tournament were not conducive to serious competitive play.
MSI 2022 is finally here and the hype cannot be any higher! Today, we will be taking a look at the series between EG and G2, as the two will clash on the ...
Furthermore, recent ADC nerfs have really put bottom focused comps at a disadvantage at MSI. I’m also interested to see how G2 will adapt their own identity and see whether Flakked will finally get the attention at this MSI. G2, on the other hand, prefers playing for mid and top, but particularly for Caps. Jankos will always sit around the mid lane and allow his carry to pick up the resources he needs. Most of the merit went to ADC Danny and newly imported jungler Inspired (former Rogue), who are both on a rising trajectory. G2 did a similar thing to their opponent in their LEC Spring Playoffs run. On one hand, we have Evil Geniuses that mainly rely on Danny for their entire damage output. Evil Geniuses will go up against G2 after winning the LCS Championship for the first time in the organization’s history.
The former Mid-Season Invitational champs G2 Esports return to the tournament once again. Can their past inform their present about their chances for ...
G2 took down Team Vitality, Misfits Gaming, Fnatic and Rogue in their bid to win the Playoffs without losing a single game following their drop to the lower bracket. Returning to South Korea, G2 will likely face their old rivals T1 once again on their home soil. After this inspiring win, there was no stopping G2. With confidence and momentum, G2 took down North American hopefuls Team Liquid in the final match of the group stage. The duo of Rasmus 'caPs' Winther and Mihael 'Mikyx' Mehle was lethal in the mid lane, while Perkz was a one-man army in the bot lane. In 2019, G2 started their campaign in South Korea with a bang, defeating Taiwan's Flash Wolves. Their next two matches would result in losses against the LPL's Invictus Gaming and the VCS' Phong Vũ Buffalo, but G2 didn't let these failures break them. G2 managed to make it out of this match as the victors, achieving a dominant 3-1 result.
Saigon Buffalo is an interesting team. The VCS has not sent a team to an international tournament (Worlds or MSI) since Worlds 2019 due to COVID-19. Previously ...
While there have been the expected rookie mistakes, Shogun has not backed down from competition and has proven himself to be one of the most aggressive ADCs in the VCS. His mind-boggling 639 DPM leads all ADCs at MSI (for reference, T1’s Gumayusi has a still incredible 571 DPM) and he’s proven to be a master of Jinx and Aphelios. The only concern is that, after those two, there are some concerns about a shallow champion pool. It’s hard to not double-dip with Saigon Buffalo players considering that none of them have ever played in a major region or at an international event (whereas most of DFM, all of RED Canids, and all of the Instanbul Wildcats were at Worlds 2021) and their team is so strong. Unlike Hasmed, who has been a part of the org for a few years and is just now getting a chance to show himself, Nguyễn "Shogun" Văn Huy is only 18 and joined Saigon Buffalo in May 2021. Hasmed is one of the most aggressive, skilled top laners in the VCS. Although his most-picked champions are Gwen and Jayce, those aren’t his best. The VCS has not sent a team to an international tournament (Worlds or MSI) since Worlds 2019 due to COVID-19. Previously known as Dashing Buffalo (and before that Phong Vu Buffalo) the team did make MSI 2019 but has not been to an international tournament since. In that time, the team has completely reset its roster to include young players like Lâm Huỳnh Gia "Hasmed" Huy. Which is why, despite him being the Buffalo top laner since the 2020 Spring Split, this will be his first exposure to the greater League of Legends community.
