Megan Thee Stallion Details Alleged Tory Lanez Shooting: 'He Said ... (Variety)

For the first time, Megan Thee Stallion gave a detailed public account of the incident in which Tory Lanez allegedly shot her in the feet.

Megan said cause of the argument, which escalated quickly, was completely mundane: “The argument was because I was ready to [leave the party] and everyone else wasn’t ready to go. And I didn’t even want to move. Lanez was arrested in connection with the incident and later was arrested again for allegedly violating court orders from contacting her; he posted bail in both cases. And he said, “Dance, bitch.” And he started shooting. The report, which has been obtained by Variety, makes multiple references to gunshot wounds and bullet fragments in her feet, sometimes but not always hedged as “suspected gunshot wounds.” She said her instinct was to protect her friends, even though they had just argued, especially because the incident took place at the height of the Black Lives Matter protests.

"Half the time, I just want to pick up the phone and call my momma and be like, 'What do I do?' Like it's too much. But if it saved all of us from dying, then that's just probably what it was meant to be," she said. And I was so scared," said Megan Thee Stallion. "So I get out of the car and it's like everything happens so fast. Megan Thee Stallion said she looked down at her feet and saw that she was bleeding. Like, and if you sorry, just help me,'" she said. Like, I should have not got back in the car. Megan Thee Stallion spoke with CBS' Gayle King about a shooting allegedly involving fellow rapper Tory Lanez, who was charged with assaulting her.

... I don’t want to have to explain to strangers why I’m crying. When speaking to others, she often feels on the verge of tears. I didn’t want to see anybody die, so I just said I stepped on glass.” A Los Angeles judge increased Lanez’s bail to $350,000 after ruling this month that his social media activity violated court orders barring him from contacting Stallion or commenting on the case. In the moment, he allegedly offered her $1 million to stay quiet, she said. Given the police’s history of violence against Black people, Stallion was afraid someone would end up dead if she revealed that a gun was involved, she told King. A report from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center reviewed by the Los Angeles Times confirms that the “Savage” hitmaker underwent multiple procedures to remove major bullet fragments from both of her feet. Something bad is about to happen.” “I was just trying to protect all of us because I didn’t want them to kill us,” she said. I don’t know if he can shoot me and kill me.’
