Aucune manœuvre de réanimation n’a été possible. Une autopsie a été réalisée le 28 décembre à l’Institut universitaire de cardiologie et de pneumologie de Québec. Aucune lésion n’a été observée et la COVID-19 ne semble pas être en cause. Selon plusieurs sources médicales, l’athérosclérose est un rétrécissement des artères coronaires.
