After nine nominations, country duo Brothers Osborne won their first-ever Grammy Award when "Younger Me" was named Best Country/Duo Group Performance.

"We've seen from the past awards shows with them, that I have felt this incredible embrace," he said. "I never thought that I would be able to do music professionally because of my sexuality," Osborne said. At that moment, he became the first openly gay artist to be currently signed to a major country label.

Held for the first time in Las Vegas after it was postponed due to the Omicron variant of COVID-19, the 64th annual Grammy Awards took place on April 3. “I never thought I would be able to do music professionally because of my sexuality, and I certainly never thought it would be here on this stage accepting a Grammy, after having done something I felt like was going to be life changing, potentially in a very negative way. “For those of you who do not know, this song was written really in response to me coming out,” TJ said from the stage, his voice cracking and brother John standing shoulder to shoulder in support.
