At Tuesday night's show at the Bell Centre in Montreal, noted Leafs fan Bieber had a bit of fun with the crowd about the Canadiens.

The Leafs and Habs close out their season series on April 9, with Montreal travelling to Scotiabank Arena in the next instalment of the century-long rivalry. Bieber and his Drew House brand collaborated with the Leafs on a jersey worn last week for their Next Gen game against the New Jersey Devils. Toronto won 3-2, with Bieber crashing the locker room celebrations post-game. Bieber also gave a shoutout to his long-time buddy Auston Matthews, which was met with a chorus of boos, with the fans responding back with a “Go Habs Go” chant when Bieber tried to start up a Leafs-focused cheer.

In the literal home of the Montreal Canadiens, Justin Bieber decided to take a moment to talk about the Leafs. It didn't go well.

Last week, the team unveiled a special edition jersey designed in partnership with Drew House, his fashion label. Despite a shocking and unexpected trip to the Stanley Cup Finals last season, the Montreal Canadiens’ 2021-22 season has been far from pleasant. “But how about them Leafs though, huh?”

As health experts declare Ontario is in the middle of a sixth wave of the pandemic, the province is extending its free rapid test program at select pharmacies and grocery stores. A 16-year-old boy has been charged with second-degree murder in relation to the death of a teenage girl in November, Regina police said in a news release. Nick Vanasse has been sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole for 10 years for the second-degree murder of Steven Butler and an additional four years for the aggravated assault of Butler’s son Bradley. Six more deaths have been attributed to COVID-19 in B.C. over the last 24 hours, according to the provincial Ministry of Health. During a visit to a First Nation in B.C. where an investigation is underway into residential school deaths, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced a multimillion-dollar fund to support those who survived the school, and the families of those who did not. As officials in Ontario and Quebec report the provinces have entered a sixth wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, some experts say the rise in infections was inevitable as health authorities removed restrictions amid the emergence of the Omicron subvariant BA.2. On Thursday, First Nations survivors of residential school institutions will meet with Pope Francis at the Vatican, in the penultimate meeting of a historic week of Indigenous delegates confronting the head of the Catholic Church.

Justin Bieber Trolled Habs Fans at His Montreal Show (Complex)

Famously a Leafs fan, Justin Bieber mocked Habs fans at his Montreal show on Tuesday. The Canadiens are placed second last in the NHL this season.

While the boos and jeers continued and fans started chanting “Go Habs Go,” Bieber joked back. Bieber’s roast especially stung since the Habs sit in last place in the Atlantic Division and second last in the whole NHL this season—a surprising turn of events considering they made it to the Stanley Cup finals last year. If that wasn’t bad enough, he made sure to give a shoutout to his bestie and Leafs captain Auston Matthews. “Man, Auston Matthews is really doing some work here in Montreal. How’s that playoff spot looking for you guys this year?”

The Montreal flagship has been converted into a five-story immersive retail experience centered around love and acceptance.

Drew House is a place, a community, and a metaphor for a home where everyone is welcome and where joy is available. We’re excited to launch the full collection at Ssense in May and to help expand Drew House’s community worldwide.” The installation, which spans three floors, includes Drew House graphics developed by the Ssense team splattered on the facade of the store that are designed to draw shoppers inside. The flagship is located at 418 Rue Saint Sulpice in Montreal in the first building in Canada designed by David Chipperfield Architects. One thing led to another and it culminated in the installation. That kind of demand is exactly what Ssense and Drew House are hoping will be replicated when the installation debuts. Good said before the pandemic, Drew House had opened a few physical pop-ups globally, but the health crisis put an end to that. Last week, the Ontario, Canada native and Drew House partnered with the National Hockey League and Adidas to reimagine the Toronto Maple Leafs sweater. Since its launch, the entertainer, his wife and his fans have been seen sporting the unisex brand’s smiley face logo with the lower-case word “drew” in place of the mouth, all over the world. “The timing is right. They quickly became friends and four years ago when Bieber started brainstorming with him about starting a brand, they came up with Drew House and have been working together to build it since then. The pop-up within Ssense’s five-story, 9,380-square-foot Montreal flagship marks the first time Drew House has expanded beyond its own direct-to-consumer site.
