Toronto Maple Leafs Look to Keep Rolling vs Canadiens (Editor In Leaf)

Marner came back in the same game that Muzzin got his first concussion, while Liljegren, Engvall, Mikheyev, Kase, Liljegren, Holl and Sandin all missed games ...

The fact that they are in fourth place overall despite never really being healthy for any stretch of time is quite impressive. Do we really think players like Mitch Marner and Auston Matthews are incapable of post-season dominance? One thing I don’t think has gotten enough press this year is the Leafs ability to fight through injuries without it hurting their results.

Maple Leafs vs Canadiens Picks and Predictions: Books Leaving ... (Covers.com)

NHL odds, picks and predictions for Toronto Maple Leafs at Montreal Canadiens on March 26. NHL betting free picks for moneyline and Over/Under.

Montreal's power play has eight goals over its last 10 games and the Habs are coming off a match versus the Panthers that featured 11 total power-play opportunities for both sides. Despite the Habs being officially eliminated from the postseason last night, this is a massive rivalry game and the Bell Centre will be rocking tonight. We feel the market has swung too far and getting the Leafs as -240 road favorites is a good price considering they were -390 in Montreal a month ago. The Leafs have the fourth-worst GAA since the All-Star break at 3.82. He could fall on his face tonight, but with an offense behind him that is scoring 3.82 goals per game since the All-Star break, the Leafs can play catch up if the rookie puts them in the hole early. Now, the two Canadian clubs are staring a total of 6.5 but at +100 for the Over. We’re all in. Absolutely. However, the Habs are without forwards Brendan Gallagher, Jonathan Drouin, and possibly their best defenseman in Jeff Petry. They’ve been relying on Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield heavily of late, as the pair has 13 of the team’s 36 goals over the last 10 games. The books might be napping on the Leafs tonight as well, as the Habs are getting all the steam in the market and have moved this line to TOR -240 on the ML after opening at -270. The crazy thing is, the Leafs closed as -390 favorites in Montreal just a month ago. The Habs have certainly played better hockey of late under new bench boss Martin St. Louis, but there is a reason they were the first team eliminated from the playoffs last night. Can the Leafs avoid a defeat in what’s a huge look-ahead spot with the Panthers on deck for tomorrow? a team with a winning percentage above .600. Find more NHL betting trends for Maple Leafs vs.

Toronto Maple Leafs vs Montreal Canadiens - Game #64 Preview ... (Maple Leafs Hot Stove)

To do so they will have to vanquish a foe that bested them in their previous matchup, the Canadiens. It was just over a month ago that the Habs convincingly ran ...

So, I think we just kind of gotten away from the mentality of just of maybe not just simplifying things, but more of a shot mentality. But that’s on us to be ready to go and prepare to play and making sure that we’re doing the other things right.” “Maybe a little bit, but I also think just simplifying things too and not hoping for the perfect play. It’ll all be kind of dependent on what’s going on in the clock, but we do think it’s important to get some reps with two defencemen out there throughout the rest of the season.” I think he’s certainly working before and after practices, our skill sessions that we have, this (past) offseason, it’s been top of mind, but I think it’s been top of mind for him for as long as he’s been in the league. To do so they will have to vanquish a foe that bested them in their previous matchup, the Canadiens. It was just over a month ago that the Habs convincingly ran over the Leafs by a score of 5-2. “We didn’t come out with much purpose in that game and they had a lot of fun. He has scored 74 per cent of his points on the season in this stretch, and he now sits second on the Habs in scoring, trailing only Nick Suzuki. Both players have scored multiple goals this week, and sit at 44 apiece, just two behind Matthews. The Leafs’ phenom will no doubt be looking to shield those two off as he pursues a second-straight Rocket Richard trophy. Unlike on Wednesday however, Giordano will not be playing in front of Petr Mrazek, as rookie Erik Kallgren will get the start on the front half of this back-to-back. They are tied with the rival Bruins, however the Leafs have a game in hand which affords them an opportunity to jump ahead and try to solidify their spot in the standings. That victory over Toronto came right in the middle of a five-game win streak by Montreal, their longest streak of the season.

Call Of The Wilde: Montreal Canadiens shock the Toronto Maple Leafs (Globalnews.ca)

It's the best Saturday night match-up in all of hockey: the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Montreal Canadiens. Montreal skated to a 4-2 win over Toronto.

It’s going to be quite exciting watching the development of this much more mobile blue line in the years to come. For Harris, the first year of his contract will be burnt shortly in Montreal in the coming days. It doesn’t have to be limiting from here on, but the doctor will have to find a reason that it wouldn’t recover, and then they have to find a way to correct it. One would have to think that they’ll have a very strong group of six. Not exactly a lot of optimism in that sentence. It does not have to mean that it will not heal properly after another surgery. In the third frame, the Leafs pressed hard again and controlled the territorial play, but it was Montreal who got the game-winner. However, if Caufield can get even close to this pace, the Canadiens have an exciting star. That’s where we find yet another player who is better under Martin St. Louis. David Savard will never be mistaken for an offensive defenceman, but he too seems to be using his instincts more and restraints less. No one has managed totals even close to this in this century wearing red, white and blue. However, the Canadiens are better than that record, and they wanted to show it. Allen was .901 before he was injured in January, but since his return, he is .924. He has one more year on his contract after this season.
