Matt Ryan is the greatest Atlanta Falcons player of all time (Blogging Dirty)

Matt Ryan did so much for the Atlanta Falcons that it is hard to sum it all up in one article. He single-handily changed a franchise.

Nothing but the best for him moving forward! Anybody who downplays what Ryan did as a Falcon is simply wrong, he put an organization on his back for 14 seasons. He went on to break the Falcons franchise record of career completions, passing yards, and so much more.

Report: Colts acquire Ryan from Falcons (TSN)

The Indianapolis Colts have acquired the four-time Pro Bowl quarterback from the Falcons in exchange for a third-round pick, reports NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

The Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2008, Ryan was named NFL Most Valuable Player in 2016 after a season in which he threw for 4,944 yards on 373-for-534 passing with 38 TDs to seven picks. Fox Sports' Jay Glazer reports the Indianapolis Colts are attempting to finalize a trade for the four-time Pro Bowl quarterback. ATL gets a 3rd back.

New Colts quarterback Matt Ryan is hoping his move from the Falcons will pay off much like it has in the past for other big-name quarterbacks such as Peyton ...

But if all goes according to plan, perhaps Ryan will be exactly who the Colts needed to get over the hump in 2022 -- and return to the Super Bowl for just the second time in his career. โ€ฆ I think we can, like I said, ride that trend that's been going on and make it work for us." There was no doubt that if I were to make a move this is exactly where I wanted to be." I am so fired up to get to work and be able to get on the field with these guys and try to do my part to help this team win as many games as we can." This opportunity that I have for the rest of my career to catch that spark and go. I knew at some point I was gonna need to make a decision on whether I wanted to stay.

Schultz also has until July 15 to work out a long-term deal with the Cowboys. It's one thing to take care of your own; it's another to double down on that philosophy after going 4-13 and resetting the staff once again." No price is too steep if your roster is ready to compete and you complete the puzzle with a potential future Hall of Famer." If Cody thought a team somehow got worse in free agency, then they ended up at the bottom of his rankings. One option for the 49ers could be keeping Garoppolo for the 2022 season, and that's a possibility that GM John Lynch mentioned at the combine. The biggest difference between the Browns and 49ers is that the Seahawks aren't really an option for San Francisco as a trade partner because there's almost no way the 49ers would make an inner-division trade involving a quarterback. After acquiring Ryan, the Colts decided to guarantee ALL the remaining money in his deal, according to NFL.com. Ryan has two years and $53.9 million left on his contract and thanks to the Colts, he'll be getting every cent of that. I'm not going to beat around the bush here, I'm just going to come out and say it: I love this trade for Indianapolis. Sure, I sound like I've been brainwashed by Colts owner Jim Irsay, but I honestly think this trade makes the Colts a Super Bowl contender. The BrownsQB was hoping to get traded to the Colts, but that's definitely not going to happen now, which leaves the Browns in a quandary. At some point this offseason, we're going to get a day where there's not a crazy trade in the NFL, but yesterday was NOT that day. - Colts grade: B+. "The soon-to-be 37-year-old Ryan doesn't come close to solving their longstanding need for a long-term signal-caller. However, after signing Brandon Scherff and giving Cam Robinson the franchise tag, the Jaguars will now have the luxury to pass on an offensive lineman with the first overall pick if they feel like they have a bigger need somewhere else.

Matt Ryan Trade Hurts Both Falcons and Colts (unknown)

Initial thoughts, stats and analysis on the blockbuster Matt Ryan trade from the Atlanta Falcons to the Indianapolis Colts.

I don't expect Ryan to rediscover his past form, but for the Colts this is just a bid for status quo, which is fine given the overall state of the roster and the state of their division. Getting a better pick would be nice, but they get to start the rebuild a year early and can get a high pick next year in a better QB draft without obviously tanking. In fact, with Manning, it was more expected than with Luck. With Luck, the win might come via a late bomb, or him providing a crushing block on a sweep, or him picking up a fumble and diving in the EZ for the score. When they traded Julio, Ryan was the last member of their 2016 SB core remaining, and they didn't have much of a chance of competing, so why didn't they rip off the band-aid then, with the #4 pick in a QB-heavy draft? It's not like they were picking 30th like the Packers. They were straight up 4th overall with Ryan starting every game and not making a PB in 5 years. If they wanted to have Ryan as a vet in front of a rookie QB that would make sense but seems unlikely given the whole "no first rounder" thing. Lots of annoyance among Falcons fans that the team could only get a 3rd for Ryan, but I just don't think there was much of a market. And the financial cost was low--basically trading Wentz for Ryan and a pick--salaries are about the same. ) But it pains me to say that I can say the same about Cousins. Would Indy have made the AFCCG in his 3rd year? That was the big win for the Colts in the trade. And don't forget that Moon was a rookie at the age of 28. He had such an amazing touch and feel for the game as a rookie that I was extremely high about his future.

QB Matt Ryan joins Jaguarsโ€™ AFC South rival Colts (unknown)

The Jacksonville Jaguars' AFC South archrival, the Indianapolis Colts, just traded for Matt Ryan, which makes their 2022 matchups must-watch TV.

The Colts didnโ€™t have a first-round pick and the 2022 draft and without many enticing options in the open market, it was uncertain what route they would take to address their quarterback situation. The Jacksonville Jaguars knocked the Indianapolis Colts out of playoff contention and put an unceremonious end to the Carson Wentz era in Week 18 of the 2021 season. Out of Boston College, he was the first overall pick in the 2008 draft and leaves Atlanta after completing 65.5 percent of his passes for 59,735 yards with 367 touchdowns and 170 interceptions.
