Trevor Noah has taken a compassionate approach to addressing Kanye West's recent attack involving racial slurs hurled at the South African comic.
As for West’s use of the word “k–n,” Noah had this to say: “Clearly some people graduate, but we still stupid. I never want to read that headline about you.” “Damn, here we go again,” Noah, 38, began his lengthy response to West, 44, within the comment section of his now-deleted post referring to the host as a “k–n.”
Kanye West has been suspended from Instagram for 24 hours after he used a racial slur to describe South African TV presenter and comedian Trevor Noah.
"You’re an indelible part of my life Ye. Which is why it breaks my heart to see you like this. I don’t care if you support Trump and I don’t care if you roast Pete. I do however care when I see you on a path that’s dangerously close to peril and pain … Don’t ever forget, the biggest trick racists ever played on black people was teaching us to strip each other of our blackness whenever we disagree…" According to a spokesperson for Instagram’s parent company Meta, the suspension was due to West violating the company’s policy on hate speech, bullying and harassment.
'Daily Show' host Trevor Noah was the most recent target of West, who allegedly re-wrote the lyrics to peaceful song 'Kumbaya' to include a racial slur.
“This was on my daughters back pack when I was ‘allowed’ to see her last week,” West wrote. In additional posts to Instagram (again, since deleted), West alleged he was being kept away from his children. Noah responded to West’s post, writing: “You’re an indelible part of my life Ye. Which is why it breaks my heart to see you like this. “What she’s going through is terrifying to watch,” he said. Those things can be happening at the same time.” Noah was critical of West, 44, saying his constant social media posts about West’s now-ex-wife Kardashian were harassment.
According to TMZ, Instagram's parent company Meta said West's posts were a violation of the social media app's policies on hate speech, harassment and bullying.
Noah stated: “You’re an indelible part of my life Ye. Which is why it breaks my heart to see you like this. You took your pain and through the wire turned it into performance perfection. He added: “Don’t ever forget, the biggest trick racists ever played on black people was teaching us to strip each other of our blackness whenever we disagree.
LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Grammy Awards is a festive vibe celebrating music's best, but host Trevor Noah says the show may touch on some serious topics such as ...
I think it’s going to bring a different energy, and I’m excited to be a part of it.” “I think it’s going to be a celebration of an industry coming back to life,” Noah said. “I think it's also important for us to be able to take a break from everything,” he said. “But it’s nice to have fans cheering for their favorite artist,” he said. Definitely. It's also important to celebrate things that are happening in the world.” Justin Bieber, Doja Cat and H.E.R. are tied for the second-most nominations with eight apiece.
West used racial slur after Noah criticised his behaviour in the wake of the former's divorce from Kim Kardashian.
After West criticised her parenting, Kardashian wrote in February: “Divorce is difficult enough on our children and Kanye’s obsession with trying to control and manipulate our situation so negatively and publicly is only causing further pain for all. Kardashian filed for divorce in January 2021, and she was declared legally single by a US court earlier this month. You’re an indelible part of my life Ye. Which is why it breaks my heart to see you like this.
Trevor Noah has responded to an Instagram post from Kanye West, who was suspended by the platform Wednesday for making derogatory comments.
“I’m not saying Kanye will” physically harm Kardashian, Noah said. “Just think about that for a moment. They go, ‘Why didn’t you leave?’ ... Because a lot of women realize when they do leave, the guy will get even crazier. Reacting directly to the slur, Noah added, “clearly some people graduate but we still stupid. “You took samples and turned them into symphonies ... You’re an indelible part of my life Ye. Which is why it breaks my heart to see you like this. “What [Kardashian is] going through is terrifying to watch, and it shines a spotlight on what so many women go through when they choose to leave,” Noah said.
